At 2:23pm on Saturday, 16 May, we received reports of a vehicle fire on the westbound carriageway of the M4 between junctions 12 and 13.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham Road and Theale fire stations were sent to the scene.

On arrival, crews discovered a car on fire. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

Crews were at the scene for approximately 20 minutes.
