At 8:26am on Monday, 5 October, we received reports of a road traffic collision on the eastbound carriageway of the M4 between Junctions 8/9 and 10.

A Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Wokingham Road Fire Station was sent to the scene alongside an Officer.

On arrival, the crew discovered a collision involving three vehicles. Firefighters used a hose reel and a carbon dioxide extinguisher to put a small fire out before checking for hotspots with a thermal imaging camera.

The crew was at the scene for approximately 15 minutes.
