At 6:57am on Friday, 24 March, we received reports of a vehicle fire on the M4 (W) between Junction 13 Chieveley and Junction 14 Shefford Woodlands.
Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found that the vehicle’s brakes had overheated.
Crews used a hose reel to extinguish the fire and were on the scene for approximately 35 minutes.
