At 3:45pm on Saturday, 6 June, we received reports of a vehicle on fire on Ringwood Road in Reading.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Theale and Wokingham Road fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside one Officer.

Upon arrival, crews found one car and one motorhome on fire. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus removed one gas cylinder, before using two hose reels and one main jet to put out the fire and cool the cylinder to a safe temperature.

They were on scene for approximately one hour and 17 minutes.
