At 6:40pm on Wednesday, 28 May, we received reports of a vehicle fire on Paices Hill in Reading.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Theale and Mortimer fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside the Water Carrier from Bracknell Fire Station, one Officer, and one crew from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service.
Upon arrival, crews found a fire involving one hybrid electric and petrol car. Two firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used two hose reels and a thermal imaging camera to put out the fire and make the scene safe.
They were on scene for approximately two hours and 56 minutes.
