At 7:45pm on Thursday, 18 June, we received reports of a vehicle fire on the westbound carriageway of the M4 between junctions 8/9 and 10.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Slough and Maidenhead fire stations were sent to the scene.

On arrival, crews discovered a fire involving one vehicle. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the fire.

 Crews were at the scene for approximately 25 minutes.
