At 2:36pm on Saturday, 30 May, we received reports of a vehicle fire on the westbound carriageway of the M4 before Junctions 8/9 and 10.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Slough, Langley, Maidenhead fire stations were sent to the scene.

On arrival, crews discovered a car on fire. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used two hose reels to extinguish the fire.

Crews were at the scene for approximately 25 minutes.
