At 2:51am on Tuesday, 25 August, we received reports of a fire near Hambridge Lane in Newbury.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury, Hungerford and Theale fire stations were sent to the scene alongside an Officer.

On arrival, crews found a fire in a skip containing recycling. Firefighters used two main jets and a hose reel to extinguish the fire.

Crews were at the scene for approximately two hours and 45 minutes.
