At 3:15pm on Tuesday, 19 May, we received reports of a fire on Island Road in Reading.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Bracknell and Theale fire stations were sent to the scene alongside two Officers.

On arrival, crews discovered a waste baler on fire. Firefighters emptied the bailer and used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

Crews were at the scene for approximately two hours.
