At 6:48pm on Wednesday, 23 September, we received reports of a fire on Elgar Road South in Reading.

A Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Wokingham Road Fire Station was sent to the scene.

On arrival, the crew found and extinguished a bin fire that had spread to nearby grassland.

Firefighters were at the scene for approximately 20 minutes.
