At 8:57am on Monday, 29 June, we received reports of vehicle fire on Ridgeway in Wargrave.

A Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Wokingham Road Fire Station was sent to the scene alongside a crew from Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service.

On arrival, crews discovered a fire in a bin lorry. Firefighters emptied the bin lorry before using a hose reel to extinguish the fire.

Crews were at the scene for approximately 40 minutes before handing the vehicle back to the refuse company.
