At 12:40pm on Friday, 3 July, we received reports of a fire on Hambridge Lane in Newbury.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury and Theale fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside one Officer.

Upon arrival, crews found one skip on fire. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels and foam to put out the fire and make the scene safe.

They were on scene for approximately two hours and 34 minutes.

A crew from Newbury Fire Station later returned to the scene for a reinspection.
