Waste Fire in Maidenhead

At 11:30am on Monday, 27 April, we received reports of a fire at a recycling centre on Vicus Way in Maidenhead.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Maidenhead, Windsor, Slough and Langley fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside two Officers.

Upon arrival, crews found waste on fire. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus, used two hose reels and one main jet to put out the fire, before removing the waste from the building.

They were on scene for approximately one hour and 32 minutes.
