At 8:23am on Monday, 28 November, we received reports of a waste fire on Island Road, Reading.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Whitley Wood, Wokingham Road and Wokingham fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside one RBFRS Officer.
Upon arrival, crews found approximately 30 tonnes of waste smouldering.
Crews worked to dampen down the smouldering waste using two hose reel jets and were on the scene for approximately one hour and 10 minutes.
