At 7:50am on Tuesday, 23 January, we received reports of an incident on Barge Lane near Swallowfield.
A Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Whitley Wood Fire Station was sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, the crew discovered a vehicle stranded in water. Whilst the driver and four dogs were able to self-evacuate, firefighters rescued a fifth dog from the car before handing the scene over to Thames Valley Police.
The crew was at the scene for approximately 13 minutes.
