Water rescue in Henley-on-Thames

At 4:08pm on Friday, 14 July, we were called by Thames Valley Police to an incident in the water near Henley Bridge in Henley-on-Thames.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham Road, Wokingham and Maidenhead fire stations were sent to the scene alongside an Officer from Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service and the Water Rescue Unit from Caversham Road Fire Station.

Upon arrival, crews assisted Police in searching for two people in the River Thames. They were both found and firefighters provided them with water safety advice. For more information on water safety, please visit rbfrs.co.uk/watersafety.

Crews were on the scene for approximately 40 minutes.
