Water Rescue in Hurst

At 6:34pm on Wednesday, 24 June, we received reports of a person struggling in water near Davis Street in Hurst.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham, Wokingham Road, and Bracknell fire stations were sent to the scene alongside the Water Rescue Unit from Caversham Road Fire Station and one Officer.

Upon arrival, crews found one person struggling to stay afloat in the lake. Crews, and one member of the public on a paddle board, rescued the person before giving them immediate emergency care and placing them in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.

Crews were on scene for approximately 56 minutes.
