Water rescue in Maidenhead

At 6:17pm on Saturday, 1 April, we received reports of persons in the water in Ockwells Park in Maidenhead.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Slough, Maidenhead, Whitley Wood and Windsor fire stations were sent to the scene alongside an officer and a water rescue team from Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Upon arrival, crews discovered four people and a dog stranded in the water. Using water rescue equipment, firefighters assisted in extracting all five from the water before providing them with immediate emergency care.

Crews were on the scene for approximately one hour and five minutes.
