At 6:40pm on Thursday, 4 January, we received reports of vehicle in water on Deans Copse Road near Theale.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham and Theale fire stations were sent to the scene alongside a Water Rescue Unit from Caversham Road Fire Station.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a vehicle trapped in flood water. Firefighters rescued five people from the vehicle before handing the scene over to Thames Valley Police.
Crews were at the scene for approximately 20 minutes.
