Located in Calcot, Reading, Thames Valley Fire Control Service (TVFCS), serves as the central hub for handling all 999 calls related to fire and rescue incidents across the entire Thames Valley region, which includes Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and Berkshire.
Our committed control room staff work seamlessly as a team, answering urgent calls with precision and offering life-saving advice during critical emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of those in need. Their expertise and calmness under pressure make them the backbone of our operations.
We’re pleased to share this April marks the tenth Anniversary since our Services joined forces to form TVFCS.
To mark this major milestone, a dedicated group of 16 control room staff are carrying out a commemorative walk that will raise vital funds for the Firefighters Charity.

- Location: The walk is set to begin at Aylesbury Fire Station, Buckinghamshire – through to Oxfordshire and be completed back in Royal Berkshire.
