Royal Berkshire Fire Authority has published its Annual Report 2025/26 and Annual Plan 2026/27, highlighting progress made over the past year and setting priorities for the year ahead.

Highlights from 2025/26
- The Service achieved ‘Good’ grades in 8 of 11 areas inspected by HMICFRS.
- Opening the new Learning and Development Centre in Whitley Wood, designed with firefighter wellbeing and sustainability in mind.
- Celebrating 10 years of the Thames Valley Fire Control Service, demonstrating successful collaboration across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

Priorities for 2026/27
The Annual Plan sets out the key activities and objectives for the coming year. As the Service enters the final year of its 2023–2027 Corporate Plan and Community Risk Management Plan, the Annual Plan builds on recent achievements while responding to emerging challenges, supported by three guiding principles:
Focus – targeting community risk through a balanced service delivery approach.
Simplification – streamlining processes to free up time for what matters most.
Teamwork – delivering as One Team for Berkshire across all functions.
