Wokingham Road

Wokingham Road Fire Station

Wokingham Road is one of four fire stations sited in Reading.

The station was built around 1970 and is located on the corner of Wokingham Road and Holmes Road, opposite the Three Tuns public house. The station’s strategic position allows quick access to either Reading or Wokingham borough along the Wokingham Road.

The crews respond to many different types of “shouts”, including road traffic collisions, flooding and water rescue, as well as to fires.

Firefighters work alongside Red Cross volunteers, who also have a crew and vehicle that deploy from the station and assist people after an incident.

The Red Cross partners offer the essential clothes, hygiene packs, baby and pet food to the public after a fire and can assist people to get temporary accommodation.
