At 8:15pm on Tuesday, 7 July, we received reports of a fire on Maidensfield in Winnersh.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham, Maidenhead and Whitley Wood fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside one Officer.

Upon arrival, crews found a barbecue on fire had spread to a fence and house. Firefighters used one hose reel to put out the fire, before working at height to remove damaged soffits and make the scene safe.

They were on scene for approximately one hour and three minutes.
