Have your say on your Fire Authority’s Code of Conduct

This consultation is now closed. Thank you to everyone who took part.

Royal Berkshire Fire Authority (RBFA) is consulting on its Members’ Code of Conduct.

The Code of Conduct outlines the standards and behaviours elected councillors are required to adhere to, on their appointment as a Fire Authority Member.

The consultation is open from 9am on Wednesday, 22 November until 9am on Wednesday, 13 December.

RBFA is made up of 20 elected Councillors from the six Unitary Authorities in Berkshire and the Fire Authority has a legal duty to ensure that an effective Fire and Rescue Service is provided across Berkshire by setting the strategic direction and approving the Fire Service’s Budget.

The Code of Conduct is based on the Nolan Principles and the Fire Standards Code of Ethics. The video below outlines the key questions asked as part of the consultation.

Please take part in the consultation by completing our online survey. The survey should take less than 5 minutes to complete.

Printed copies and alternative formats can be made available on request, please contact 0118 938 4611 or committeeteam@rbfrs.co.uk.
