Public consultation
We are committed to consulting with our communities, and our key internal and external stakeholders, on our Corporate Plan and CRMP.

An 11-week public consultation on this document began on 11 January and closed at 5pm on Monday, 27 March 2023. This was an opportunity for interested parties to offer feedback and to help shape and influence our plans.

A total of 662 responses were received to the consultation from members of the public, stakeholders and members of staff. The analysed data showed:
– Our Strategic Commitments received an approval rating of 90.5%.
– Our six key CRMP priorities received an average approval rating of 90.4%.
– The consultation report contains quantitative and qualitative analysis of the consultation data.

Feedback gathered during the consultation has led to changes in the wording of the Strategic Commitments and CRMP Priorities. This consultation report and the Corporate Plan and Community Risk Management Plan 2023-2027 was presented to Royal Berkshire Fire Authority on 27 April 2023 before the final draft was agreed and published.

Consultation is vital to ensuring that our plans truly represent the needs of the communities we serve and that they express risk as it is experienced in the community. Consultation is also a legal requirement and we are accountable for ensuring that all feedback is consciously considered before we make decisions that change the services we provide.

Although the consultation has now closed, we welcome your feedback on future consultations. You can register on our website to receive notifications about our latest public consultations and be offered the opportunity to participate in them.
