At 1:47pm on Saturday, 17 February, we received reports of an animal in distress on Pheasant Close in Winnersh.
A Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from was sent to the scene alongside an Aerial Ladder Platform from Whitley Wood Road Fire Station.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a cat stuck up a tall tree. Firefighters used the Aerial Ladder Platform to rescue the cat from a height of approximately 40 feet and return it to its owner.
If your pet cat gets stuck in a tree, please contact the RSPCA in the first instance. Firefighters will only attend incidents where there is an immediate risk to life.
Crews were at the scene for approximately 57 minutes.
