At 8:55am on Friday, 9 June, we received reports of a lorry on fire on the M25 northbound between junction 15 and 16.
Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Slough and a crew from Langley were sent to the scene, alongside a water carrier and an Officer from Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to extinguish the fire and one person was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene. Crews were on scene for about an hour but there is likely to be continued local travel disruption. Please follow National Highways for the latest updates.
